This has been kind of a tough week. Kyran has been sick. Now I know that all kids get sick and granted it is just the flu. But two factors make this harder. One - I am a super weirdo worrier. My mind wanders and I start thinking the worst...and then Paul has to talk me down from running him to the emergency room. Two - Kyran is a extremely active boy but when he's sick, he just lays around. He never lays around and to see him awake and just sitting there, it's alarming. So alarming that I have to remind myself that he is just not feeling good.
Because he's been so sick, he's missed school this week. It's 6:20 as I write this and he is still sleeping. That is, like I said, very unusual. I will probably keep him home all because he didn't wake us up at 4:00 am like always. The kicker is that he is on "Fall Break" all next week. Kyran just scored 2 weeks off from school.
Despite our week, I was so happy to see an email from my friend Lori of Mommyfriend. She had asked me for a quote about what I would say as a special needs parent to other parents. She was writing an article for Babble's Toddler Times. I was very happy to oblige and here is the link to Lori's article.
Lori was also kind enough to mention our book,Wit and Wisdom! It's full of many other special needs parents that have a lot to say....go buy it (click on the Amazon link over on the right ----->)
